We thought it would be great to have an open forum of inspirations and resources related to percussive bowed string playing. This means chopping, of course, but there are many interesting rhythmic techniques on our family of instruments that can be celebrated here as well.
So, if you have something related you want to share — videos of performance or demonstration, audio tracks/albums, inspirational rhythmic techniques, articles, notations, etc, etc...this is the place.
There are just two simple rules:
Please don't try to sell your stuff. Sharing resources is okay, of course.
Treat people with respect.
This group is for everyone — all styles, genre backgrounds, levels, and geographic locations. There are exciting developments happening everywhere and we hope this can be a place to spread the word and connect.
We are excited to see how it develops and look forward to new knowledge, inspiration, and an expanded community.
